US star Alex Morgan is the most highly paid female footballer on Instagram, expected to earn over €575,000 from the platform in 2023.

Aside from their wage as professional footballers, female players are taking to Instagram to boost their earnings. But which stars are raking in the most cash in 2023?

Ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup this summer, Betting.com/gb has released an analysis revealing the female football stars with the highest earning power on Instagram, as well as their predicted earnings on the platform for 2023.

With an average earning power of €24,025 (£21,202) per sponsored post, Alex Morgan is the highest earning female football player on the platform. Captain of San Diego Wave and player for the USA national team, Morgan is thought to have earned around €144,147 (£127,212.84) so far on Instagram in 2023, with projected annual earnings amounting to €576,593 (£508,851.34).

Alexia Putellas, captain of the Barcelona women’s team and player for the Spanish national team, is the second highest paid female football player on Instagram. Raking in €5969 (£5,268) per post on average, Putellas is predicted to earn around €95,513 (£84,291.90) in 2023.

Meanwhile, Megan Rapinoe comes in third, with projected earnings of €84,859 (£74,888.82) on Instagram for 2023.
