Niamh Murphy, Ciara Carley and Rebecca McCready will be representing Ireland at the 2023 World English Sporting Clays Championships next week.

This highly anticipated event draws participants from across the globe, including seniors, juniors, colts, and more, who will all face the same challenging course.

Over the course of two days, participants will tackle 100 targets each day. The Irish Team - Niamh Murphy, Ciara Carley and Rebecca McCready - will showcase their skills, competing in both the team event and the individual ladies' event from 7-8 July.

Qualifying for the team necessitates completing four 100-target shoots between the previous year and this year. With a total of 20 qualifying shoots since June 2022, shooters have traveled extensively throughout Ireland from February to September, ensuring their participation in the majority of qualifying competitions to secure their spot. While only four shoots are required to qualify, the best four performances are considered if a shooter exceeds this minimum threshold.
