KPMG Teams Up With Irish Jewellery Brand Chupi To Design The KPMG Women's Irish Open Trophy

Having previously participated in the KPMG-backed Going for Growth programme, this collaboration builds on CEO and Creative Director Chupi Sweetman’s long-standing relationship with KPMG.

KPMG, a long-time supporter of female entrepreneurs and women in sport, has today announced an exciting collaboration with Ireland’s most loved fine jewellery brand Chupi. The project will see Chupi Sweetman, design the trophy for the upcoming KPMG Women’s Irish Open, taking place in Dromoland Castle later this summer.

KPMG’s relationship with Chupi began when founder, Chupi Sweetman, previously participated in the Going for Growth - a programme designed to support female entrepreneurs. After ten years in business, Sweetman has since become one of Ireland’s leading female entrepreneurs, scaling a one-woman operation to a luxury jewellery brand that sells in more than 70 countries worldwide. Following her success with Going for Growth, Chupi has returned to the programme as a Lead Entrepreneur to offer her mentorship to other aspiring ambitious female entrepreneurs, supporting them in achieving their growth aspirations.

The KPMG Women’s Irish Open trophy has been created by Chupi as a celebration of the international, elite players in women's golf, inspired by the upward swing of a golf stroke, elongated and abstracted to add grace and movement. It is a fluid, sweeping modern trophy that showcases feminine strength and resilience. The materials used in its creation are recycled and sustainably sourced, handcrafted in Ireland by master craftspeople working with their material expertise to create a truly unique trophy, fit for international champions.

Today’s announcement is an extension of KPMG’s ongoing commitment to the development, advancement, and empowerment of women’s sport in Ireland and of women in business across the country. Having previously supported the 20x20 campaign and its ongoing sponsorship of Irish golfer Leona Maguire and Irish jockey, Rachael Blackmore, KPMG has strived to create a #LevelGround between men and women’s sport in Ireland.
