On Sunday, August 13th, New York Liberty power forward, Breanna Stewart (28), became the first player in a season to score 40 points in three WNBA games.

The record setting game in New York saw Stewart score 42 points against the Indiana Fever. The points were accompanied by six rebounds, six assists, three steals and three blocks.

Australian Liz Cambage holds the record for the most amount of points in a WNBA game with 53. Cambage, set the record when she played for Dallas Wings in 2018. Cambage (31) currently plays in Israel.

Stewart sits in joint 7th place on the table of most points in a single game with 45. The Liberty are currently 24-6, setting a franchise record for wins.

Liberty are on a six game win streak and take on the Las Vegas Aces in the early hours of Friday morning.
