An exciting Irish team of 40 athletes, made up of equal numbers of men and women, will take to Turin this weekend for the 28th edition of the SPAR European Cross Country Championships, at La Mandria Park on December 11th 2022.

The Irish athletes will join over 550 competitors from 40 countries who are set to battle it out for European cross country honours at Piemonte 2022.

Despite Ciara Mageean's late withdrawal from the senior women's team due to illness, hopes are high that the group will improve on last year's fourth-place finish. Eilish Flanagan was called on to replace Mageean; she now joins sister Roisin, Michelle Finn, Ann Marie McGlynn, Mary Mulhare, and Aoibhe Richardson.

The quality of athlete on show at Piemonte 2022 will make the race for this year’s team and individual medals as competitive as ever come Sunday morning. Final Entries can be found HERE.
